John D. Thompson
Asbestos/Lead Program Manager
Mr. Thompson is responsible for managing Asbestos/Lead Program goals, leading business development efforts for the Asbestos/Lead Program, and is the initial point of contact for large proposals and new clients in the Asbestos/Lead Program. Mr. Thompson has experience in all areas of industrial hygiene, including anticipation, recognition, evaluation, prevention, and control of environmental factors arising in the workplace which may cause sickness, impaired health, or significant discomfort among occupants. Mr. Thompson specializes in performing routine and complex asbestos and lead inspections and oversight. He has also performed worker exposure monitoring projects as well as air clearance testing involved with buildings to be reoccupied. Mr. Thompson also has some experience in materials testing, including concrete density, seismic stability, and soil plasticity testing. He has been involved in Phase I Site Assessments as well as Site Exit Assessments. Mr. Thompson has been responsible for providing environmental services including on-call services for various government agencies and developers including the development of proposals, project manuals, and technical specifications, plans and cost estimates for environmental and facility engineering projects. Mr. Thompson's overall responsibility includes schedule management, project-related financial management, project execution, fieldwork, and client relations.
